Give your robot a real brain!
The purpose of Cam3 is to give real "vision" to robots. Because it was designed to be the leading point of the system, the customer has complete freedom in the implementation of the final application. Its technical features allow the Cam3 to recognize patterns as well as directing the robot. A powerful and easy to use SDK is included with the Cam3. There is no need for the user to program algorithms for pattern recognition, simply use pre-existing functions. For example, the function named "IdentifyForm" will identify patterns placed in front of the camera.
Users can create their own functions; hence there is free access to the RGB components from the CMOS sensor. Cam3 provides real-time recognition and robot direction for less cost, lower supply energy and smaller dimensions than the usual computer webcam link. Moreover, the Cam3 is equipped with a regular PC I/O that allows it to communicate with slave devices (PROTO and LCD128).
